Tulips on Park Avenue (Park Avenue)

Today after work I walked along Park Avenue in the thirties, where the tulips were in bloom.

They were so tall and magnificent, and such a perfect tone of red, that I regretted feeling so proud of the ones I had seen yesterday in Washington Heights. 

It made me remember that class distinctions are inescapable in New York City.

And there are rich and poor, even among the tulips.
