One day the river and the tree found themselves sitting next to each other on the subway downtown, where they both worked. “How’s it going?” asked the river. “I haven’t seen you in a while.”
The tree yawned. “It’s funny, I took a nap like five months ago and I’m just starting to wake up now. I hope I still have a job,” the tree added and shrugged. “How about you? What’s the latest?”
“I’ve been busy as shit,” the river admitted. “I could use a job more like yours, honestly.”
The tree LOLed. “OMG I was going to say the same thing to you!” They exchanged business cards and agreed to keep in touch.
