Times Square is never not busy, but there’s definitely a rush around 5:00 pm every night, and an extra intensity on Friday, when some percentage of people are headed home for the weekend. Sometimes it’s faster to walk in the streets because the sidewalks are so crowded, although you should probably try not to be distracted by the puddles, like I was.
This guy was riding a hand-truck across Seventh Avenue and 40th Street, which looked fun and dangerous.
The pavement was still glistening after the rainstorms this afternoon, and it was easy to imagine everyone — and even the buildings — on a giant carousel.
