The March of the Snow Drops

The spring crocus were less deterred by the snow than we were.

While the snow drops lived up to their name.

Inside, I watered the cactus and dreamed of a spring in Death Valley.

Fifty million flowers lighting up the desert, at least in my imagination.

You can fit a lot into a small space.

Outside, the spring crocus took advantage of the sun, which lasted five seconds before being blotted out indefinitely.

I allowed myself to be infected by their optimism.

Let it be known that these flowers enjoy a party.

Meanwhile, the hellebore twisted out of the ground like a baby dragon (via Game of Thrones).

Far more ambitious than the crocus, they have plans to conquer the world.
