Elektra: Did you guys have a fun weekend?
So did I, although I’m having a hard time remembering much of it now that it’s Monday. One thing I’ll say is that after growing up playing hockey, I hope that series of articles in the New York Times leads the NHL and all other leagues like it to finally say “enough.” There’s just no reason to allow fighting in hockey — it slows down the game, you never see it in playoff, college, or Olympic hockey, and now we know without a doubt that it kills people, which isn’t exactly surprising when you consider the size of those guys, pounding on each other with bare hands.
That said, I can’t wait until next weekend.
