
As a general rule, plants hate to be moved, but our camellia — which you can see next to the statue — has been an exception; even under the snow, it has about three times as many buds as it did last year, when it was on the other side of the yard.

The statue, however, hasn’t moved in years, and seems all the happier for it.

Sometimes you just want to cross your hands over your chest, close your eyes, and imagine what the world is going to look like in three months, when all the flowers will be in bloom.
