The light this morning was perfect.

I went to Fort Tryon Park for the first time in a few months.

It was work getting there — it’s basically a two-mile incline — but I was rewarded at the end.

There were only a few leaves left on the birch, but they were glowing.

A clump of purple asters was framed by the elm trees.

I’ve seen some amazing landscapes in the past few months.

And what I’ve learned is that anywhere can be beautiful.

Depending on the light and shadows.

The sun comes up.

And leads us into the trees.
